Conjunto Corona 10 Years
A Decade of Music, Mystery, and Madness
Over the past ten years, this duo has carved out a path unlike any other in Portugal's hip-hop scene, blending sharp humor, rich storytelling, and an unmistakable sonic identity. It’s been a pleasure and an honor to work with them on this journey, witnessing and celebrating their milestones along the way.
The Unmistakable Sound of Conjunto Corona
Their debut album, Lo-Fi Hipster Sheat, may have introduced them as a low-fidelity project, but anyone listening knew better. The production was meticulous, the samples carefully selected, and the lyrics razor-sharp. From that first release, DB (better known these days as David Bruno) and Logos set themselves apart as masterminds of a fictional universe where humor, nostalgia, and biting social commentary collide.
As they built on that foundation with Lo-Fi Hipster Trip, they gifted us anthems like "Pontapé nas Costas" and "Pacotes", cementing their status as underground legends. But Conjunto Corona isn’t just about music; it’s an immersive artistic vision that grows and evolves with every release.
A Musical Cinematic Universe
Corona, the fictional character at the center of their music, has had quite the journey. From a life of excess and drugs, he transitioned into running a nightclub filled with women (Cimo de Vila Velvet Cantina), bringing a theatrical element to their live shows, where O Homem do Robe became a stage staple. Then came a spiritual phase with Santa Rita Lifestyle in 2018, nights of club nostalgia with G de Gandim in 2021, and last year, the mystical Estilvs Misticvs, where Corona sought the help of a witch to cleanse his path.
It’s this fearless approach to reinvention that makes Conjunto Corona so special. They craft an experience, a universe that fans step into and become a part of. Their concerts are unpredictable, their visuals striking, and their humor unmatched.
A Celebration Fit for Legends
To mark this ten-year milestone, Conjunto Corona has released a limited-edition double CD—only 100 copies—bringing together 30 of their greatest classics. It’s a true collector’s item and a testament to their decade-long impact on the music scene.
For us, working alongside Conjunto Corona has been nothing short of inspiring. Their creativity, dedication, and fearless originality make them one of the most unique acts in Portuguese music today. We can’t wait to celebrate with them and all their fans at these upcoming shows—because if there’s one thing we know for sure, a Conjunto Corona anniversary is not just a concert. It’s an event, a spectacle, and an unforgettable experience.
